Welcome Thank you for visiting the MBA home page at the University of New Orleans. Since UNO began to offer its graduate programs, we have developed these programs to better satisfy the demands of employers and the needs of serious business students. Through a process of continuous improvement based on feedback from students, alumni, and industry executives, we have continued to enhance the curriculum, course scheduling and advising to better prepare our professional MBA graduates for the modern business environment. Our primary mission is to provide a high quality, affordable, flexible and convenient graduate business education to all in our local, regional, national and international communities. The UNO MBA student can complete his entire MBA education through classes taught by fully qualified, doctoral faculty. All of UNO's Graduate and Undergraduate programs are fully accredited by both the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB International). This assures you that the education you receive at UNO is of the highest caliber and that courses taken at UNO will be transferable across the United States and most other countries around the world. Attributes of UNO’s MBA Program are numerous. For those with an undergraduate degree in business administration from an AACSB accredited school, we plan our advanced core course schedule to facilitate your completing your degree in the best progression and in as timely a fashion as possible. For those of you without such a degree, we utilize a streamlined foundation core course regimen for non-business undergraduates. This allows you to have the vital information necessary to the successful completion of your advanced core course requirements, again in the most timely and effective way. Another important feature of the UNO MBA is the availability of eight Concentrations: Finance, Health Care Management, Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management, Human Resource Management, International Business, Management Information Systems, Marketing, and Technology Management. The accessibility of these concentrations allows each student to more effectively tailor his educational experience to his own professional needs or desires. We have enhanced our ability to serve our students by adding an MBA Director and an MBA Counselor/Coordinator to our staff, as well as employing a full complement of well-qualified and trained Graduate Assistants and Student Workers. The sole charge of all of these staff members is to provide better service, both more efficiently and more effectively! Since Hurricane Katrina, enrollment in the College of Business Administration has rebounded fairly well. The UNO MBA Program is one of the largest in the Gulf South Region, enrolling approximately 500 students. While the majority of these students are local residents, a growing number of out-of-state and international students are choosing the UNO MBA. We are proud of the diversity of the UNO MBA participants and encourage the integration of all cultures into our educational experiences. We are also pleased that with increased exposure to our graduates, our reputation as a source of excellent MBAs will continue to grow in many venues. The College of Business offers other advanced degrees, including an Executive MBA program, a traditional Master of Science in Health Care Management, Executive Master of Healthcare Management Program, a Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management, a Master of Science in Accounting, a Master of Science in Taxation and a Ph. D. in Financial Economics. So, thank you again for visiting our home page. Please look through the contents of our MBA program offerings.
