Steps for Obtaining an Internship for Academic Credit



Once your eligibility status to participate in the program has been determined, you will be notified via email.

Please note: Students that have secured an internship opportunity on their own must submit an internship application to determine eligibility. In addition, students must have their supervisor fill out a Internship Job Description Form . This form will be reviewed by the internship faculty advisor to determine if academic credit can be awarded.

Students that are currently employed may be able to receive internship credit with his/her current employer. The employer is required to complete the Internship Job Description Form for Current Employee and email it to the Internship Coordinator. The form is used to review the student’s current responsibilities and internship responsibilities. The current and internship responsibilities must be significantly different to be considered for internship credit.
