neighborhoods in New Orleans and only minutes from the Central
Business District and the world-famous French Quarter.

College of
Business Administration
The College of Business Administration at UNO is committed to
providing high quality graduate and undergraduate business
education, intellectual contributions, and related services that are
valued by and improve the local, regional, and global communities of
our stakeholders.
Accreditation and
Membership
The College of Business Administration at UNO is officially
recognized by the AACSB for its undergraduate and graduate programs.
The role of the AACSB is to monitor, improve, and thus assure a
quality education from select business colleges. This distinction is
an honor as only approximately forty percent of business schools
nationwide are given AACSB accreditation. The school receives
additional endorsements from the Southern Association of Colleges
and Schools and the Accreditation Commission for Programs in
Hospitality Education.
In addition to accreditation agencies, the UNO School of Hotel,
Restaurant and Tourism Administration (HRT) belongs to several local
and national associations. Local institutions include: the New
Orleans Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau and the
Louisiana Restaurant Association. Nationally, the School belongs to
the American Hotel & Lodging Foundation, the Council of Hotel,
Restaurant and Institutional Education (CHRIE) and the Travel and
Tourism Research Association.
