The
College currently offers the following degree programs at
the Master level:
Master
of Science in Accounting - This program further prepares
students for careers in public, industrial, and not-for-profit
accounting through advanced study in financial and managerial
accounting, auditing, taxation, and accounting systems. It
also is a foundation for entrance into doctoral programs and
other professional studies. UNO's program produces students
with one of the state's best first-pass rates on the CPA examination.
Master
of Science in Taxation - This program provides graduate
study concentrated in areas such as partnership, corporation,
and shareholder taxation, the tax problems of employee retirement
plans, and tax research. It also is a foundation for entrance
into doctoral programs and other professional studies.
Master
of Business Administration (MBA) - This program is designed
to prepare students for superior administrative positions
in both the private and public sectors. Emphasis is placed
on the development of analytical abilities. Students are provided
with a broad preparation in business administration while
being allowed to focus on a variety of concentrations in specific
business areas. The program is commended by the State Board
of Regents for "academic excellence."
An Executive MBA program is
also offered by the College. This program is designed for
those students who want a high-quality, affordable business
education that does not significantly interrupt their daily
work responsibilities. These programs are convenient for,
responsive to, and supportive of New Orleans' managers, entrepreneurs,
and professionals.
Master
of Science in Health Care Management (MS-HCM) - This program
is designed to prepare health care professionals to prosper
in the 21st century. The curriculum provides students with
a unique blend of knowledge that bridges the world of health
care and the world of finance, marketing, accounting, and
management. The objective of this advanced training is to
enable graduate students to manage more effectively at a managerial
or executive level in both public and private health care
settings.
An Executive MS-HCM program
is also offered by the College for
students who want a program that does not significantly interrupt
their daily work responsibilities.
