To
implement the mission and vision
statements, the Strategic Planning Committee identified
eight goals and several objectives for each goal. The
eight undergraduate and six graduate programs in the
College share the same overall goals and objectives
to a large degree.
Goal: Offer academic programs that prepare students
for the rigors of the business world

Increase participation in internship programs by 15%

Increase use of outside speakers in the classroom

Hire faculty with real business experience (e.g.,
professionally qualified adjunct faculty and full-time
faculty that have business experience)
Goal: Offer academic programs that are consistent with
the current and future needs of the local, regional,
and global business communities

Use employer and alumni surveys to develop new programs
that meet the need of our local, regional and global
communities (e.g., undergraduate entrepreneurship
curriculum, MS Health Care Management, MS Engineering
Management)

Establish cooperative programs with universities in
other countries (e.g., undergraduate programs in Ecuador,
France and EMBA in Jamaica)
