EMHCM Program Curriculum

The University of New Orleans has the largest business school in Louisiana, as well as one of the fastest growing executive education programs in the country. Our Executive MHCM program delivers a high-quality, high-value education.

Classes primarily meet from 8:00 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. on Saturday and 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Sunday with an occasional class on Friday. A tentative calendar may be viewed online or downloaded.

Curriculum Summary

The objective of the course work in the program is to survey the general business principles and practical implications then connect those principles and practical implications to health care settings.

Even though I already held two undergraduate degrees from LSU and have significant work experience in healthcare and insurance, this program exposed me to the business of healthcare delivery in a setting that allowed me to learn, not just from our professors (who were all top shelf), but from the experiences of my classmates. The opportunity to interact with clinicians, in a neutral setting, gave me a better understanding of the issues most important to them, and I am certain they too now have a better perspective on the business and financing of healthcare.
