EMHCM Admission Information

Admissions Calendar and Deadline

Applications are due August 1st. Late applications will be accepted, pending availability.

Fee Schedule

The total fee for the class beginning in 2008 is $18,500. Fees are payable in four equal installments of $4,500, plus a non-refundable deposit of $500 upon acceptance. Once you have been notified that your application has been approved, you may choose to pay your deposits by secure online payment or mail or fax.

Program fees include:

  • Tuition and fees for EMHCM courses
  • Required books and materials
  • Coffee breaks, refreshments, and lunch on class days
  • Tutorial sessions for selected courses
  • Graduation fees
  • Networking events

Refund of Student Fees

Withdrawal from classes after the start of a session does not necessarily entitle a student to a refund of that session's fees.

Financial Aid

Some types of financial aid are available. Favorable interest rates are given for federal education loans. The Stafford Loan is commonly used, and applications can be accessed online at http://www.fafsa.org/fafsa/ or by calling 1-800-4FED-AID (1-800-433-3243). For more information about this or other types of loans, contact the Executive Education office.

Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)

The Graduate School requires most students to produce acceptable GMAT or GRE scores for admission. Individuals with advanced degrees, including master's, law, medical or doctorate degrees, as well as those with high undergraduate GPAs, may not be required to take these exams. A preliminary admission decision can be made without a test score. The exams are administered at local testing sites, including on UNO's campus. It is recommended that program candidates prepare adequately for either exam. Information can be found online at www.gmat.org and www.gre.org or call GMAT at 1-800-GMAT-NOW (1-800-462-8669) or GRE at 1-800-GRE-CALL (1-800-473-2255). To register at the UNO Testing Center,
call 504-280-TEST (8378).

Information Sessions

Information sessions held throughout the year provide an opportunity for prospective applicants to meet with the EMHCM faculty and staff. Typically, an information session consists of a presentation on the program with a question and answer session at the end. By attending, candidates gain a more accurate picture of our program. To check on scheduled sessions, click here.
