    OSCAR VARELA
    Professor of Finance
    At UNO since 1982
    Dr. Varela has research interests in international finance, corporate finance and investments. His articles appear in numerous journals, including Financial Analysts Journal, Financial Review, Global Finance Journal, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Journal of Economics and Finance, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, Journal of Public Economics, Review of Financial Economics, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, and Quarterly Journal of Business and Economics.  Dr. Varela, the recipient of outstanding teaching awards from three universities, was recently named Professor of the Year and Teacher of the Year in the UNO College of Business.  He is currently completing a book in international finance.
