  UNO's Accounting Department provides a CPA preparation program to enable individuals who have degrees in areas other than accounting to obtain the necessary course work to qualify to take the CPA exam. The program requires 27 hours of accounting courses and 24 hours of business courses. Courses Required to Sit for the CPA Exam in Louisiana Accounting Electives for the Pre-CPA program.
