How to Make the 150 Hour Requirement Work For You

What is the 150 hour requirement?

The 150 hour requirement stipulates how many semester hours must be earned before a candidate can sit for the CPA exam.

How can you make the 150 hour requirement work for you?

The accounting department strongly recommends that students apply to our Masters of Science in Accounting programs. Currently, an undergraduate degree in accounting at UNO requires 121 hours and the graduate degree requires 30 hours, combining the two programs totals 151 hours.

What if I don't qualify for the Masters program?

Students who do not qualify for the Masters program should consider the Certificate of Eligibility for CPA Examination Candidacy. There are three options available under this plan.

For additional information or for an application, contact Dr. Gordon Hosch at 280-6438.
